You have to kiss a lot of frogs to find the prince!

What I want to know is how important is it to YOU to have a personal connection with your clients?

Once you know what kind of clients  you want, you can focus on attracting the kind of clients who are ideal for you.

A while ago another VA came to see me. She had inherited a bunch of clients from someone who had previously outsourced the work further. Those clients had no personal knowledge or connection with the person(s) who did their work.
Because there was no personal, human connection, these clients treated her poorly with hardly a thank-yous or word or gesture of appreciation.

What is the ideal size when posting online?

Have you ever wondered just how many characters will create the best impact for an all important tweet, or the best length for a blog post headline to really catch the eye?  Do you know how long to make your weekly podcast or Youtube video for the highest retention.

If you're serious about content marketing and making your social media efforts, check out the following list of optimal lengths for just about anything you'll be likely to publish online.

Here's a quick list of the best lengths according to research.

Should you do your own business administration?

It’s not brain surgery, most people CAN do their own admin, but is it the most effective use of a business owner’s time?

You might have no trouble creating your own newsletter, typing a letter, formatting a document, building a PowerPoint presentation and updating your website, but is that how you want to build YOUR business when there are so many other things to be done as well?

A person who specialises in administration would probably take less time to do the job and be focusing on what they are good at, not a hundred other tasks as well.

Email Campaigns – The right way

Do you know why some people DON’T open your email newsletters?

Don't they like you, don't they find what you have to say interesting enough - are you just not engaging them quickly or well enough? And what can you do about it?

Consider this:  Send extra emails to the people who don’t open your emails. Wait a minute, that doesn't make sense - people who DON’Topen?  This is not just to be contrary but to find out which way the wind is blowing. Read on...

so, Firstly -

HOW does your email LOOK?

Are you desk bound?

As I spend a large amount of MY time desk bound I found this very interesting - perhaps it will be of help to you too.

In a recent blog post on hissite, strength and conditioning coach Mike Boyle presented a new theory: gym-goers have fallen in love with all the wrong exercises.

According to Boyle, if you work a desk job (which is 90% of us), the three worst exercises you can do are bench presses, curls and stationary cycling. I know what you’re thinking. “But that’s my whole workout.”  Sadly, a lot of people go to the gym, do a few sets of bench, a few curls and hop on the bike.

With Christmas just around the corner, chances are most of us are starting to wind our businesses down for at least a couple of weeks holiday over the Christmas/New Year period.

So to make this process a little easier, here are some tips to help you prepare YOUR business for the holidays.

1. Let clients know you are closing over the holiday period
